It’s just a shame that California got to taste one last bitter after-burp of Rovism, as professional initiative peddlers and a bizarre alliance of Mormon money and conservative black churches decided to piss downhill on a minority smaller and more marginalized than themselves to take away marriage equality and prove to the Cool Conservative Kids that they should be part of the gang too (even though the Cool Con Kids would still laugh at them both behind their backs and between elections). Here is hoping more outreach and some sharp lawyering can win the day and put this crap to bed permanently. And that Barack does such an impressive job cleaning up Bush’s failures that he’ll be emboldened to be more progressive than Bill Clinton ended up.
